The Outlaw style speedster replica features a fiberglass body bonded to a square tube frame (rather than a VW floor pan).
It is powered by an air cooled 2275cc flat four rated at 150 horsepower behind a 4 speed freeway flyer transaxle.
Front disc brakes and four wheel independent suspension.
The engine is a Scat build with twin EMPI carbs, a Porsche style cooling shroud, lots of high performance parts including an electric auxiliary fan on the oil cooler.
This car is built to run.
Factory assembled by Thunder Ranch and delivered to the original owner in 2008.
It has since recorded 5700 miles and is rolling on fresh fluids, overhauled brakes, replacement master cylinder and new tires.
Interior features full instrumentation, electric heaters and a 12 volt power receptacle.
There is a folding soft top in near new condition but the hardware to secure the rear section is missing.
It cannot be operated with the hard tonneau in place.
This is a salty little machine that is very quick and agile and that tracks straight down the road.
