Porsche introduced the very first 911 convertible in 1983, the first Porsche soft top since the 356 was discontinued in 1965.
The '83 Cab was the only year with a fully manual top, which if you have owned an air cooled 911 with a power top and its four motors and half a dozen micro switches, you likely know that's a good thing.
