The Opportunity:
As the Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer, you will work hands-on to manage and automate infrastructure resources in our on-prem VMWare environment and Azure environment.
You will help improve our platforms and ensure they are stable, secure, and compliant.
You will manage the planning and execution of our migration from VMWare to Azure (AVS and other cloud services) and all automation efforts in both environments.
This is a highly collaborative role and will require you to develop partnerships with teams inside and outside of technology.
You will report to the Infrastructure Systems Team Lead.
The ability to work a flexible off-hours schedule for planned and unplanned maintenance is required.
The Day-to-Day:
Oversee Infrastructure resources:
VMware hosts, VMs, Azure VMWare Solutions, Ansible (AAP) and other componentsPromote technical delivery of large-scale projects on all infrastructure technologies.
Develop and deploy automated solutions for managing VMware systems and components (Cloud and On-Prem)Ensure that technology delivery meets policy, regulatory, architectural, and security standardsWork with the infrastructure solutions architecture team to gauge the efficiency of existing infrastructure systems and develop/implement strategies for improvingIntegrate the deployment of infrastructure including compute, OS, hypervisor, network, storage, database and security and the associated services across on premise and cloud backendWork with IT leaders and Project Managers to assist with resource planning, vendor assessment, and other tasks to provide technical expertiseProvide technical escalation points for production support during normal business and off-hoursLead improvement efforts and feasibility of the latest technologies and solutions along with the preparation of business case justifications and value proposition demonstrations
Qualifications:

years of experience in IT Infrastructure & Operations5
years of experience in VMware management and 3
years in Azure or any other cloud solutions3
years of experience in IaC and DevOps Automation technologies like Ansible, Octopus Deploy, Terraform or similar toolsExperience with scripting languages like PowerShell, Python, YAML, or HCL Experience with operations and engineering delivery of multiple infrastructure technologies including systems, network, storage, compute, and digital workspaceExperience operating and engineering virtual private or public cloud compute services such as Azure or AWSExperience with network micro-segmentation and multi-tenancy, cloud security, and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI)Knowledge of Microsoft server technology stack including Active Directory, MS SQL, and WindowsKnowledge of infrastructure concepts including compute, OS, hypervisor, network, storage, database, and securityBachelor's degree in MIS, computer science, math, or other science field, or equivalent combination of education and experienceWhy Fisher Investments:
